PHASE 3
SPRING 2023
Needs Identification
Different areas of Richmond have different needs. The equity-based transportation needs were identified for 17 different areas of Richmond. The top needs are presented in a series of 3-page summaries. These top needs are the results of a year-long effort of analysis and public engagement!
What’s Next?
The Richmond Connects team is hard at work developing recommendations to address the top needs. We are compiling project ideas from prior planning efforts and previous studies, as well as ideas you’ve suggested, and we’re coming up with some new recommendations too. We are examining how well the various recommendations could meet the top needs.
In the next phase, we will share a list of recommendations that meet the top needs for each area of the City. We’ll ask for your input on which recommendations are most important. This input will help determine which recommendations move forward into the near term action plan.
Thank You for Your Input!
The needs reflected over 5,000 survey responses, focus group input, and discussions with City residents.
We listened to every suggestion for how to make walking, biking, and riding the bus safer and easier. We compiled some of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received so far – with answers!
