COMMITTEES

Richmond Connects is spearheaded by the City’s Office of Equitable Transit and Mobility, whose vision is a connected, safe and equitable transportation system.

Richmond Connects is supported by many City departments and offices, community leaders and multimodal transportation organizations, who are represented on committees. Many have served in the Richmond 300, Path to Equity and RVAGreen 2050 community engagement processes.

Richmond Connects Advisory Committee

Advisory Committee members provide valuable community-based insights, advice, resources and leadership support to bolster effective public engagement. They represent a diverse collection of community and nonprofit leaders, local organizers and several at-large community members.

Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public. Stay informed on all engagement opportunities.

Richmond Connects Steering Committee

Steering Committee members provide guidance in reviewing metrics, data, scenarios, recommendations and other draft documents. They also identify issues, concerns and input throughout the process; shape Advisory Committee meetings; review public engagement and messaging materials; attend meetings; and assist in data acquisition.

Richmond Connects Technical Subcommittee

Technical Subcommittee members assist in coordination and data collection, as well as provide input on the Richmond Connects process, schedule and deliverables.
