PHASE 1

SUMMER 2022

Thousands of Richmonders have contributed to Richmond Connects, a process to develop the City’s transportation plan that will work for all!

From June through August 2022, Richmond Connects conducted the first phase of community engagement. From online meetings to appearances at neighborhood events including Que Pasa Festival, Jubilation in June, National Night Out as well as door-to-door, we gathered input from hundreds of City residents with our survey.

Que Pasa Festival Photos

Thanks to many of you who took our survey, we’ve gathered input on what needs to be improved – for walking, riding a bike, or taking the bus – in areas that you live and visit. This continues conversations that began during development of the Richmond 300 Master Plan in 2018-2019, when many of you shared big ideas on improving future transportation connections. In 2021, during development of the Path to Equity Policy Guide, you also identified transportation barriers and ranked transportation injustices in our City.
